Something spooky for the Halloween season. The happiest place on earth is also a gold mine of childhood trauma. Or was.
The first part of my deep dive retrospective on World Masterpiece Theater. In which we cover the rough beginnings of the series.
Sorry about the audio quality, I was sick. Anyway, Bedknobs and Broomsticks has more cuts than Blade Runner, and I wanted to make a chaotic program about it.
Duke Nukem Forever is one of the most infamous games of all time. Stuck in development hell forever, farted out in 2011, and met with tepid reviews. But as the hype around the game has died down and time has passed, I think it's worth looking back at the game to see if it was truly deserving of its negative reputation.
Remember Fish Police? No? You're not alone — and that's exactly why we're diving into this bizarre, noir-inspired, anthropomorphic underwater oddity from the early '90s. In this program, we explore the strange story of Fish Police, the short-lived animated series that aired on CBS in 1992 and vanished just as quickly. Did it deserve its obscure fate?
We all know about the legend of Polybius, the supposed mind-control arcade game that disappeared without a trace. But what if I told you there's another mystery — one that no one is talking about? In the famous Polybius arcade image, there's a second game sitting right next to it... and no one seems to know what it is. The marquee is blurry, the cabinet design is unusual, and after hours of research, I still can't find a match.
I'm gonna take you back to the past, to discuss the not-shitty games that whip ass... In this very long, rambly program, I discuss my favorite games ever, and what each of them mean to me. I apologize for the random mic noises. I don't know what to do about that.
Dottie takes a look at the artists and visual traditions behind video game box art.
